About the Company

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Telecommunications Project Manager to support long-term telecom infrastructure projects in a primarily remote environment.

About the Role

This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects involving underground and aerial telecommunications construction, including cable installation. The Project Manager will oversee timelines, milestones, resources, and communication across internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Projects range in duration, with the shortest being approximately six months.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end telecommunications projects, including underground and aerial infrastructure builds
  • Oversee project timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams, external vendors, and utility partners
  • Track project progress and proactively address risks, issues, and schedule impacts
  • Ensure projects align with business, safety, and technical requirements
  • Communicate project status, updates, and deliverables to stakeholders
  • Support onboarding and training requirements, including limited on-site sessions

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing telecommunications or network-related projects, ideally in a remote setting
  • Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, including underground and aerial construction and cable installation
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, and external partners
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple long-term projects simultaneously

Required Skills

Preferred Skills

  • PMP or similar project management certification (preferred, not required)
