Job Description

Real Estate Appraiser needed for Staff Appraiser position. Clearmark Valuation is a growing AMC based in Dublin, Ohio. Clearmark is focused on minimizing turn times, maintaining quality appraisals and training the next generation of Appraisal Professionals. Standard business hours and a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Property Inspection: Perform in-depth interior and exterior inspections, documenting, measuring, and photographing structural improvements, amenities, and overall condition.
• Market Analysis & Research: Research public records, legal descriptions, zoning bylaws, and recent comparable sales to analyze market trends.
• Appraisal Report Generation: Prepare comprehensive, written appraisal reports that outline the methods and data used to arrive at a value conclusion.
• Valuation Methods: Apply the three approaches to value (cost, sales comparison, and income approach) to determine accurate market value.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and local regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

• Certification: Active certification in good standing (Licensed or Certified) required from a state regulatory agency.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and research capabilities to evaluate market trends and property characteristics.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in appraising software, MLS systems, and MS Office.
• Communication: Excellent writing skills for reporting and interpersonal skills for conducting inspections and defending appraisals.
• Manage Appraiser Trainee: Trainee will assist in areas certified appraiser believes the trainee is competent and will guide trainee toward competency to achieve appraisal credentials.
• Ability to conduct peer reviews on appraisal reports: Appraiser to review other appraisal reports for accuracy and compliance.
