Hiring: 4G/5G RAN Engineer – Deployment & Optimization

Location: Alpharetta, GA or Brewster, WA (Onsite)

Position Type: Full-Time

contract to hire

no C2C, only W2 candidates

We are hiring a 4G/5G RAN Engineer to support deployment, trials, and performance optimization of next-generation wireless networks. This role is ideal for candidates with strong hands-on experience in RAN optimization and Nokia environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform 4G/5G RAN deployment and performance optimization for trials and commercial networks
  • Work on CIQ to SCF workflows and remote configuration (Nokia environment preferred)
  • Analyze network KPIs and optimize performance using parameter tuning
  • Support PoC, trials, and live deployments with direct customer interaction
  • Troubleshoot RF, software, and hardware issues impacting network performance
  • Perform log analysis (UE & gNB/eNB) and provide RCA
  • Generate KPI reports using EMS/OSS tools
  • Coordinate with RAN, Transport, IP, Security, and Cloud teams
  • Guide drive test teams and support field testing activities
  • Develop test plans, MOPs, and deployment strategies

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in RAN Engineering / Optimization / Performance
  • Strong understanding of LTE, 5G NR, VoLTE, VoNR, CA, mMIMO
  • Experience with tools: XCAL, XCAP, QXDM, TEMS, NEMO, ACTIX
  • Knowledge of 3GPP standards, call flows, KPIs, and statistics
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and performance tuning experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Nice to Have

  • Scripting or automation (Excel Macros, Python, Shell, Linux)
  • Experience with KPI/log analysis automation
  • Prior experience in fast-paced or startup-like environments
