Junior Recruiter

Term: 2 months upon hire

Rate: $18-$20/hr

Hours: Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM

Location: Plano, TX | Hybrid work schedule

Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Jr. Recruiter to work with our client in Plano, TX. This role is a wonderful entry into talent acquisition for agency recruiters and recent college graduates with experience in customer service. As a Jr. Recruiter, you will be working on a large, high-volume recruiting team and hiring for retail positions nationwide. You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to identify, recruit, and hire top talent.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing and recruiting strategies to produce the highest quality candidate slate
  • Keep abreast of evolving industry trends, recruitment best practices, and sourcing strategies, and adjust accordingly
  • Establish consultative relationships with hiring managers to anticipate talent needs and appropriate recruitment strategies
  • Establish rigorous criteria for interviewing applicants with applicable KSAOs
  • Ensure compliance with all legal aspects of candidate selection
  • Organize and manage candidate data via Excel and/or OneNote, outside of or in addition to applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Report to Team Lead and/or RPO Manager on a daily basis

Qualifications:

  • College degree (any field)
  • Technologically proficient, with experience in Microsoft Office
  • Effective time management and organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong consulting skills, including negotiation, persuasion, coaching, teaching, influencing, listening, and objectivity
  • Assertive and able to take initiative as a proactive change agent
  • Positive, coachable attitude and work ethic
  • ATS experience preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Make 40+ outbound calls per day
  • Send 20+ emails or texts per day to external contacts
  • Meet daily/weekly project goals set by management
  • Actively engage on LinkedIn by liking, sharing, and commenting on relevant posts

Please note that the responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive. Employees may be assigned additional tasks by their manager as needed.

This is a full-time contract position, Monday through Friday. The role will begin in-office and transition to a hybrid schedule. Remote work may be required by management due to factors such as weather, office closures, or scheduling needs.
