Job Description

Kelly Government Solutions is seeking skilled Internal Medicine Physicians (Board Certified/Board Eligible) to join the dedicated Primary Care team at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. Providers will work onsite as part of a dynamic, collaborative Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) dedicated to comprehensive, veteran-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care services including chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, COPD, heart failure), preventive care (immunizations, screenings, lifestyle counseling), and acute care for new/urgent symptoms.
  • Lead care coordination as part of an interdisciplinary team (PACT model), collaborating with specialists, mental health providers, social workers, pharmacists, and community care partners.
  • Integrate geriatric, palliative, and women’s health into patient care.
  • Conduct telehealth visits and remote patient monitoring as required.
  • Participate in patient hand-offs, consult/referral procedures, staff meetings, and QA/QI activities.
  • Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with VA standards (EMR, privacy, infection control).

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM/AOBIM or recognized boards)
  • Current, full, and unrestricted medical license (any US state, territory, or DC)
  • Minimum 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in primary care or outpatient internal medicine
  • Current BLS & ACLS certifications (AHA Only)
  • DEA registration and NPI number
  • Up-to-date immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, Hep B) and TB clearance
  • Clean professional record and not on OIG Exclusion List
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills

Highly Preferred:

  • Prior VA or federal healthcare experience
  • Experience caring for the veteran population

Additional Notes:

  • Candidates must be able to complete all VA credentialing and annual mandatory trainings before start.
  • Physicians must be available for onsite coverage
