Job Description

This role plays a central part in empowering attorneys and staff through technology training and support. The position focuses on developing and delivering effective training — both one-on-one and in group settings — to help users confidently navigate the firm’s technology tools and systems. Alongside training, you’ll troubleshoot application and hardware issues, guiding users from problem identification to resolution while promoting best practices for efficiency and productivity.

You’ll work closely with firmwide and local IT teams, attorneys, staff, and vendors to enhance the user experience, ensure smooth adoption of new tools, and maintain a high standard of client service. Your work will blend technical expertise with instructional skill, ensuring that the firm’s technology investments are fully leveraged.

Ideal Candidate

We’re seeking someone who brings both technical knowledge and the ability to teach others effectively.

Education & Experience

  • College-level coursework in Information Systems Technology preferred.
  • Experience as a technical trainer, with the ability to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Five years of hands-on PC experience with strong hardware and software knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN and server concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Recent, relevant certifications strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • Law firm or professional services background a plus.

Teamwork & Applied Skills

  • Ability to assess user needs and provide tailored, effective training solutions.
  • Strong client service ethic, with a focus on delivering value through improved user skills.
  • Excellent communication skills — both in explaining technology and in listening to user concerns.
  • Comfortable leading classroom-style sessions, creating learning materials, and providing follow-up coaching.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong ownership of responsibilities.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Well-organized, able to manage competing priorities, and responsive to urgent requests.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional training outside normal business hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for equipment setup.
