Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Educational Diagnostician to support students with diverse learning needs by conducting comprehensive evaluations and helping determine eligibility for special education services. The ideal candidate will administer and interpret assessments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the development of individualized education programs (IEPs). This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring students receive the appropriate services and supports to succeed academically and developmentally.
Duties
• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and academic evaluations for students referred for special education services.
• Administer and interpret standardized assessments related to cognition, academic achievement, behavior, and adaptive functioning.
• Determine eligibility for special education services in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Prepare detailed written evaluation reports and present findings to ARD/IEP teams.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, speech therapists, and parents to support student success.
• Assist in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide recommendations for instructional strategies, accommodations, and interventions.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation aligned with IDEA and state guidelines.
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and provide professional guidance on evaluation results.
• Support ongoing progress monitoring and reevaluations as required.
Qualifications
• Valid state certification/licensure as an Educational Diagnostician.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational and academic assessments in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, special education law, and evaluation compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with evaluation tools and report writing software is preferred.
