Job Description

V-Tech Solutions is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) responsible for the safety, supervision, and support of individuals in a residential setting. The role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, assisting with daily living and therapeutic activities, responding to crisis situations, and providing CPR and First Aid when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety, supervision, and well-being of individuals in a residential program.
  • Implement individualized treatment, habilitation, educational, and behavioral support plans.
  • Assist with daily living skills, personal care, recreation, and community participation.
  • Document progress, incidents, and daily activities per program requirements.
  • Administer medications after required certification (CMT in MD, TME in DC).
  • Prepare meals and maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Respond to emergencies, crises, and behavioral incidents using approved procedures.
  • Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors regarding resident needs and incidents.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and professional development.

  • Ability to build professional relationships with individuals, families, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of person-centered care and behavioral support.
  • Medical database management experience.

Education & Experience

One of the following:

  • High school diploma/GED plus 1 year experience in developmental disabilities or autism support (or related caregiving experience)
  • Associate degree in Human Services or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field

Pay Rate: $20.10 per hour
